1). CONDITIONS – Please make sure you are familiar with the conditions & rules of the classes you intend to enter in addition to any qualifier specific requirements detailed in this schedule. Full details are available on the CLONMEL SHOW website and on the links in the Qualifier Classes. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure your entry meets the conditions of the Clonmel Show and the criteria of the classes you are entering. Fence heights and animal and rider specifics can be found on the links on CLONMEL SHOW website.
2). TIMETABLE – Study the timetable before you enter. Only the ring start time is published. All classes will then follow on. It is your responsibility to be at your class on time. We cannot hold classes in the event of a clash or if you are late. Each ring will display the current class number. We will also endeavour to update how rings are proceeding on the public address system, but it may not be audible in all areas of the show grounds.
We will publish the numbers entered in each class prior to the show. However, depending on the number of entries who turn up, classes may run earlier or later than estimated. Give yourself plenty of time.

3). IDENTIFICATION OF STALLIONS- RIDDEN AND LED
Stallions should wear a Stallion Badge on their Bridle. Riders must have attained their 12th birthday on 1st January of the current year when riding stallions not exceeding 137.2cms. Stallions in excess of 137.20cms must be ridden by riders who have attained their 14th birthday on 1st January of current year. In Class 73, RIHS Open WH Horse, competing stallions must have a red, white and blue ribbon displayed on their tail. In Led Horse Classes, stallions to have white or blue ribbons in their tails.
4.] The Committee reserves the right to alter the running times of Classes, to amalgamate classes where there are insufficient entries and to change the allocation of Judges. Class prizemoney will be adjusted accordingly, viz
3 entries, class prizemoney will operate as per schedule
2 entries, 2/3 of prizemoney will be paid and percentage accordingly etc.
For ponies, mares or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 123cms, suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have attained their 3rd birthday but not their 8th birthday on 1st January of current year. Riders in this Class may not compete in any other Class with the exception of any other Lead Rein, Beginner First Ridden and Beginner Cradle Stakes Classes. In this Class, the Judge will be looking for a pony suitable to take its rider hunting on a lead rein. This is NOT a Handy Pony Competition but, in their individual show, ponies will be asked to negotiate small obstacles to a maximum height of 12” (30cms) such as bending poles, ground poles, zig zags, etc. A smooth and steady round suitable for the pace of the leader and ability of child is required. Cantering is not permitted. NO CROSS POLES allowed. First & second are qualified for The Mini Working Hunter Pony Championship & The Purcell Cup.
No entries permitted on day of event.
Rosettes 1st to 6th place and thereafter, special rosettes will be awarded. A Best-Turned-Out rosette will be awarded.
