Working Hunter Horses, Novice Class for Mares or Geldings, exceeding 153cms, aged 4 to 6 years, that have not won a Working Hunter Class previously.  A €50 prize will be awarded to the highest-placed Traditional Irish Horse (TIH) in this class. Max height of Course will be 90cms. Marking System: Maximum total 100 points, broken down as follows; Phase One; Jumping Phase – 40 points. Way of Going in Jumping Phase – 20 points. Phase Two; Ride Phase – 20 points. Conformation – 20 points. In the event of a tie, the horse with the overall highest score in Phase One will be the winner. If there is still a tie, the horse with the highest 'Way of Going' score will be the winner. The first and second placed winners from this class will qualify for the Working Hunter Horse Championship which comes with a €400 prize fund and the First National Cup.

 

Working Hunter Horses - Opening Notes

 Start Time; 15.00 for Working Hunter Horse Classes 37,38 and 39 in SLIEVENAMON RING 3. Marking System: Maximum total 100 points, broken down as follows; Phase One; Jumping Phase – 40 points. Way of Going in Jumping Phase – 20 points. Phase Two; Ride Phase – 20 points. Conformation – 20 points. In the event of a tie, the horse with the overall highest score in Phase One will be the winner. If there is still a tie, the horse with the highest 'Way of Going' score will be the winner. Showing Ireland points can be collected at Clonmel Show for their Points Awards league 2024. The riders wishing to take part will have to register with Showing Ireland before they can collect points. It is therefore very important to declare the Rider when completing your entry. Clonmel Show will confirm the results to Showing Ireland post-show.
