Side-Saddle Combined Junior & Senior Intermediate Class. For Mares or Gelding, 4 years old or over, 148cms or over, to be ridden side-saddle by riders who have attained their 14th birthday by 1st January of the current year. Clonmel Show is affiliated to Side Saddle Ireland  whose aim is to promote, present and preserve the art of side-saddle riding. However, you do not have to be a member of that Association to enter and compete in this class. The rider’s ability and turnout, and the way of going, manners, conformation and movement of the horse/pony will be considered as part of the adjudication. Riders must wear an approved harnessed hat. A Side-Saddle Ireland Rosette will be presented to the 4 highest placed members of the Side-Saddle Association of Ireland [SSI] in a class. A Best Rider Rosette will be presented to the "Best Rider" among those SSI members. The winner will also be presented with The Cecelia Sullivan Perpetual Memorial Trophy, presented by The Sullivan Family in memory of the late Cecelia Sullivan. This trophy will not be given out to exhibitors between shows. The winning exhibitor will have their details engraved on the trophy by the Sullivan Family.  The winning exhibitor will have the opportunity to be photographed with the trophy at the presentation of prizes and will be able to see the engraving details on the trophy at the following year's show.
