SPONSORS

The show’s many generous sponsors contribute the vast bulk of the €45,000 prize fund, without which the show could not continue to operate. These sponsors vary from multi-national companies through the whole spectrum of Irish business, right down to private individuals who feel that they would like to be associated with the longest running annual event in Clonmel. Clonmel Show was first held in 1865, on the site of the now demolished Gasworks on the Old Waterford Road. The running of the annual show now costs in excess of €70,000. The show organisers are especially grateful to their loyal sponsors for their support this year, given the serious recession that we all find ourselves in. The show committee took the decision, last year and again this year to maintain their prize fund in spite of a temporary reduction in sponsorship funds, as they believe their winning exhibitors deserve to be supported during these difficult times...

For 2010, as in 2009, in light of the ongoing financial situation and the economic pressures on business, Clonmel show has asked sponsors to contribute half of their usual prize fund. Clonmel show continues to endeavour to match this amount through advertisement, gate receipts and fundraising, to ensure full prize monies are offered for 2010.

Clonmel Show Society wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to our very generous Sponsors:
