Welcome to your sheep section which is growing every year, We are now one of the largest sheep shows in Ireland with over 55 classes. Our show this year features two all Ireland Sheep classes, in Wzartble and lleyn breeds, to be judged by Internation Judges for the first time.

Identification: All sheep must be individually identified with plastic eartags issued in association with the requirement of the National Sheep Identification System (NSIS)
Movement Documentation. All consignments of sheep being moved must be accompanied by a completed dispatch document. Individual details of each sheep in the consignment must be recorded.
Flock Register. All movements of sheep to and from shows must be recorded in your flock register. Use event code “S”.
Shows between 1st May and 30th September.
Sheep from Scrapie Monitored Flocks will be permitted to attend Agricultural Shows taking place between 1st May and 30th September, without restriction or seperation from other categories of sheep.
Judging of Commercial Classes commences at 12 noon sharp, before Judging of Pedigree Classes which will commence at 12.30p.m.
Numbers can be collected at Powerstown Park – RINGSIDE on Show Day.
Entry Fee: €7 per entry in each class
N.B. Breeds/Classes with less than 3 different exhibitors may be cancelled at the discretion of the Committee. Viability of classes will be known at close of entries – if any have to be cancelled exhibitors will be notified and entry fees returned.

EXHIBITORS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY AND LIVESTOCK INSURANCE

Individual details of each sheep in the consignment must be recorded on the document. Sheep from non-restricted flocks only can be moved to Shows. In the case of flocks restricted following diagnosis of scrapie, sheep possessing the ARR/ARR genotype only may be exhibited. The movement of these ARR/ARR genotype sheep must be accompanied by the relevant movement permit (SCR/10),which can be obtained from the local District Veterinary Office in the county where the flock is located.
