Rules:  Final to take place at Castlewellan Show-Saturday 16th July 2011.   Maximum of one animal per exhibitor per section in the final Cattle must be exhibitor bred and registered in their respective herdbooks
Animals qualified for final are not eligible to enter any other class.  At Castlewellan Show. 

Final will take place subject to DAFF & DARDNI approval N.I. Qualifiers may be required to be TB Tested for final subject  To DARD.

25     The Limousin Heifer All-Ireland Derby Qualifier.   For Limousin Heifers born on or after June 2009.

2.      One Heifer may qualify from each selected show, if the standard is insufficient no heifer may be chosen.

3.      All animals must be led by a competent adult.

4.     These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules

Rare Breeds

Cattle showing in these classes must be pedigree for their respective breeds, and may not be breeds already listed in the schedule.

35      Best rare breed Bull born on or after 1st July 2010

36      Best rare breed Female born on or after 1st July 2010

PRIZES:  1st €120, 2nd €70, 3rd €50                                         Entry Fee €12.

THE AIB SUPREME CHAMPION BEEF ANIMAL

Qualifiers for this class shall be as follows:

  1. Champion, Reserve and 3rd placed from Friesian, Shorthorn, Hereford, Belgian Blue, Simmental, Charolais and Limousin.
  1. Champion, Reserve and 3rd placed Commercial Animal.
PRIZES:       

Champion:  €250 & Perpetual Trophy                 

Reserve €100.        3rd €70.

4th  €70 will be awarded to the best Commercial animal, if it is not in     the first three placings.

The William Carroll Perpetual Trophy, kindly presented by the late Wm. Carroll Snr., Mile Tree Clonmel, will be awarded to the Supre Beef Animal.
